Description
The Electric Power Steering Kit Includes:
- EPS controller
- Power plug
- 60 Amp fuse and fuse holder
- Rebuilt EPS unit
- Steering ECU
- Input coupler to 3/4″ ID
- Output coupler to 3/4″ ID
- Input flange tube
- Output flange tube and T-bolt clamp
Many customers have used this kit for: FJ40, FJ43, Land Cruiser, Toyota and other under the dash applications.
Here’s an example of an install of the straight kit on a ’53 Chevy.
Column Shift Cars:
A common challenge that our customers come across is fitting our kit into a car with a column shifter. (If your car has a shifter up by the steering wheel, this is for you.) The shaft for the shifter runs very close to the steering column, so when our unit runs inline between the firewall and the steering wheel, it runs into the electric power steering unit. What you or your fabricator will need to do, is create a bridge around the column. The picture you see here shows a sample installation with a column shift.
