When we got a troubleshooting call from Michael, we had no idea just who was calling us. A few minutes in, as he described his project, we knew we had to come see what he was working on. He led us in a tour through his workshop and our minds were absolutely blown.

Nestled between two jacaranda trees, was the entrance to a lair of BEASTS. The walls were covered in antiques, art, religious iconography, clever hand made robots, and crafted mini motorcycles made from scrap. I spied the Three Stooges in one corner, and the Beatles in another. I felt incredible lucky to have been standing there in Leed’s creative space.

This man hand builds his custom cars and every detail inspires wonder and excitement at the potential in the world of automotive design. Leeds believes that designers today are lacking inspiration and don’t give enough for the eyes to play with. He hopes to inspire with his builds. If there was anyone who could figure out a way to make things work together, it was him. He had three completed projects in there, as well as one WIP that utilized two of the smallest jet plane cock pits as the main base of the car.

We were here to see the car he had put our unit into. A mean and fantastic creation! It was the marvel we came to see and it certainly delivered. He lifted up the front grill, and there it was.  Hiding behind a very old multimeter was our unit, right in that pointy nose. How else were you going to get that thing to turn with those MASSIVE TIRES?  It was rad to meet him in person and we hope to help him add electric power steering to all his future projects.
